We stopped by EYEBEAM to view the interactive exhibits. My favorite was "Through the Time Tunnel" by Miseong Lee, an artist from South Korea, where she studied industrial design. We stopped by the old Battery Maritime Building to "Play" the building. We first had to sign a waiver acknowledging the poor condition of the building and waiving our rights to sue if we were injured. The building wasn't in that bad of shape, however. The artist, David Byrne, hooked up an old organ to various parts of the building. Playing the keyboard played different parts of the building. These waterfalls were erected by Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. These structures recycle water from the East River and operate from early morning until 10 PM. They are lit at night. They will operate until October
