This is the driver who picked us up at the train station. When we got out of the car, staff were waiting for us, addressing us by name. You don't really check in at a desk. A uniformed staff member escorts you to your room, writes down the necessary info from your credit card and passports and hands you your key. When you offer a tip, it is explained that we can leave a sealed envelope at the desk when we leave if we wish.
This is the court yard area preceeding the lobby entrance.
The view from our balcony of the "back" of the hotel where every room has a view of the Taj Mahal.
