Bengaluru is not a real easy city to walk. In addition to the streets not being laid out in an easy to follow system, the sidewalks are not paved as they are in America. Some sidewalks have large cement slabs laid over drainage ditches. In some cases, pavers are laid. Most walkways have areas where the underlying ditches are visible. You definitely have to watch your step at night.

Hi Pat, we just had several portions of the sidewalk around our building, including the corner of 11th and Broadway, re-done. Hardly seemed to have been necessary compared to the sidewalks you have there... be careful at night indeed!
I did find paved sidewalks...in front of the State Capitol Building and Court House!
